Isidro Blasco

Madrid,1962

 

He got his BFA at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, he did the doctoral degree in Architecture at ETSA Madrid. He moved to New York in 1996 where he continue his Thesis at Columbia University of New York. At the moment he has studios in Madrid and in New York.

 

He has obtain grants from Pollock Krasner Foundation in 2000 and 2010, also from the Guggenheim Foundation in Visual Arts in 2001. Also: Socrates Sculpture Park Fellowship, Public Art Fund, New York, Rockfeller Foundation Residency in Bellagio, The Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation and Sculpture Space Grant, among others.

 

He has exhibit his work internationally in institutions like: MOMA PS1, New York. Wave Hill, The Bronx, New York. Smack Mellon, Brooklyn, Museu Metropolitano de Arte, MuMa, Brazil. Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid. Museo Patio Herreriano, Valladolid. Museo Lazaro Galdiano, Madrid. Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Alicante, MACA. Comunidad de Madrid, Alcala 31.
